AutoMenus can help you in making menu selections in many ways. You can set AutoMenus so menus will select automatically when you position the mouse cursor in the menu bar, or you can have menus select (and stay selected) after only one click with the mouse button.
In addition, menus can also be deselected automatically! Or, if you prefer, after one click of the mouse button.
AutoMenus supports sub-menus and programs such as DiskTop‚Ñ¢ and QuickKeys‚Ñ¢ which add extra items to menus (If you use these, you will need CEToolBox‚Ñ¢ 1.6 or above). AutoMenus will support multiple sub-menus. However, when using the Automatic Dismissal option, you might have to move the mouse further outside a group of sub-menus for them to dismiss.
You can disable AutoMenus at any time on the fly simple by holding down the special modifier key (set using the ‘Keys’ button) while clicking in the menu bar. If your using the Automatic Selection option, you must have the modifier key held down before you position the mouse in the menu bar. A pop-up menu will appear allowing you to deactivate or activate AutoMenus. You can also turn off AutoMenus at any time by unchecking ‘AutoMenus On’ in the Control Panel.
AutoMenus can be set to "let go" of, or terminate menu activations after a specified period of time. This is to prevent "stalling" your Mac when your not around. See the "Installing & Configuring" chapter for more information about auto termination.
Don't get discouraged when you first start using AutoMenus. It takes a few minutes to get used to it. I'm sure you'll find after only a few minutes like so many others what a GREAT and INDISPENSIBLE utility it is!
